Looking forward to next soccer season? AYSA has a number of options for players in the summer of 2013.
Competitive Soccer: Ages 11-19
Some AYSA clubs offer competitive soccer teams. This option will include some travel to the Twin Cities midweek and will likely include one or more out of town weekend tournaments. Season begins about April 29 and runs through July. Registration is by local soccer club. Local clubs choose the specific age groups offered. Upper Division Recreational Soccer:Ages 11-18 (8/1/94 - 7/31/02)
Registration: February 25 -March 8 at various locations. Specific registration dates and times will be available by February 1. Season begins in late May. No tryouts. Generally, games are played two nights a week. Most games held within a 30 mile radius of downtown Duluth. Occasional travel to Grand Rapids, Biwabik or Hibbing.
Lower Division Recreational Soccer:Ages 5-12 (8/1/00 - 7/31/08)
Registration: April 22 - 27 at various locations. Specific registration dates and times will be available by April 1. Season begins August 1 and ends in late September or early October. No tryouts. Generally, games are played one or two nights a week. Most games held within a 30 mile radius of downtown Duluth. Occasional travel to Grand Rapids area for U12 and U13 teams. Players ages 11-12 can play in Upper Division Recreational or Competitive soccer and also play in this program.
Fall League: Ages 12-14
Registration: Registration will be held August 19-21 immediately after the end of high school soccer tryouts. Season begins September 8 and ends by October 20. No tryouts. Games are played Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. Most games held within a 30 mile radius of downtown Duluth. Occasional travel to the Iron Range. Players ages 12-14 can play in Upper Division Recreational, Lower Division Recreational (if age eligible), or Competitive soccer and also play in this program.
Little NetBusters: Late Summer session. Ages 3-4
Registration information and schedule details will be in our February 2013 newsletter and on our website by February 1. Sessions consist of age appropriate soccer activities supervised by trained coaches.
